I have a wealth of experience in Pension planning and Inheritance Tax planning, Later Life planning and advising Trustees and Charities on investment portfolios.
I moved to rural Highland Perthshire with my family to build our own business, after working for over two decades in Senior Financial Services roles. I undertake regular Continuous Professional Development to ensure my knowledge remains up to date and relevant in a fast-changing environment.
My wife, Jennifer and I have two children, Eleanor and Henry. Outside of work, I enjoy the great outdoors, photography, hillwalking, sailing and fly-fishing.
I have spent over two decades involved in Anti-Money Laundering, Risk Analysis and Financial Crime Investigation roles. I previously worked as a consultant, providing expert advice and guidance to retail banks and the industry on fraud prevention and detection.
I have extensive experience in risk management and meeting regulatory obligations.
As a full time (non-advising) Director in Macintyre Wealth Management Ltd, I have responsibility for running the Aberfeldy Office, providing first-class systems and processes to enable us to deliver an efficient and compliant Client Service.
I enjoy spending time with my family, going to the theatre and helping with local charitable projects.
I joined Macintyre Wealth Management in June 2019 as Client Support Assistant.
Having previously worked as a teacher in London and New Zealand, returning to London in 1990, when I joined the British Olympic Association as Assistant to the Public Affairs Director. In 1993, I started working at Athole Still International Management as Account Director to some of Great Britain’s leading sports celebrities.
I also worked as Office and Artist Administrator for Athole Still Opera Ltd, which managed leading international opera singers, conductors and stage directors. In this role I was responsible for facilitating international work permits and tax clearances and dealing with international promoters.
In July 2018, I decided to return to Scotland and enjoy spending time with my daughter, cooking, reading, yoga and pilates and the beautiful Scottish countryside.
